There is one more part of the Fitness\Diet Industry, that many consumers know little about.
Yet, it is this area of the Industry, that Advertisers rely on the most to create new customers.

Men and Women working out, but who already seem to be in good physical condition. These pictures are common sales tools, even though the reason for using them is sometimes deceptive.

An industry that has been around for years, it includes Men and Women who market Themselves, either individually or through an agency, as "INCENTIVES."
Incentives? Would does this mean? That to sell a product that encourages regular use, it could be a SUPPLEMENT OR GYM\WORKOUT CENTER, the Models are meant to represent the "AFTER PHOTOS." Naturally, the Prospective Client is suppose to think that they are in the "BEFORE" Category.
The INCENTIVE? PURCHASE THE PRODUCT, CONSUME OR USE AS DIRECTED, AND YOU TOO CAN LOOK LIKE THIS.
This seems, on the surface, to be perfectly valid. After all, if it worked for those Filmed or Photographed in the Ad, why wouldn't it have the same affect on everyone else?
Unfortunately, it often doesn't work that way.
I'm sure you have seen on Television, Interviews with satisfied customers that claim marvelous results by using the product. Phrases like;
- "In only ten minutes a day, using the '........,' I was able to cut three inches off my waist in just two months."
- "Taking '.....' for only one month, seemed to melt the fat away."
