Single-payer Health Care. U.S. SENATOR AL FRANKEN.

David,
Health care is a right. It's not a privilege.

Like Senator Paul Wellstone did, I've always believed that every person in this country deserves health care.

I'm supporting Senator Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for All" plan because it sets down an important marker. It is aspirational -- this is where we need to go as a nation.

In the meantime, we need to take concrete steps in the direction of universal care while we protect and improve the ACA. We need to make sure the people who have health care now don't lose it. That's what we're working on in the Senate Health Committee, on which Senator Sanders and I work together.

I've signed on to "Medicare for All" because I support universal coverage and this is one way to get there.

Thank you.
Al
